My dad is near finished with the books.

He tends towards not reading much, so this fact itself surprised me.

We haven't talked about them much, I've shied away so as not to spoil anything while he reads, but he's earned his wings and there simply isn't much left that I can spoil.

I asked him who his favorite character was.

We talked about Jon, Jaime, Tyrion and Brienne.

In the end he looked at me and said, "My favorite character was Ygritte."

There are now two of us.

That's a 100% increase in membership within the last 24 hours.

We are proud, both as an organization, and as a group that takes the voice of those who cannot speak for themselves, that our current state of rapid growth may bring respect to peoples that are deserving.

Sincerly,

Culhwch?

On list?

Check.

Again.

-That's a paraphrased summation of the reenacted dialogue that we will have (now that there are two members) next time we meet.

Putting aside, for one moment, the issue of the family yadling, I'd like to congratulate your father for either reading all that text when he doesn't usually do so, or for realising that the existing books of ASoIaF are one hell of a good read. Or both.

As for my view of Ygritte, I was sorry to see her demise. The world has too few redheads as it is. (Is that enough to keep me off the list?)

I personally detested Ygritte. The fact that her big line was "You know nothing Jon Snow" and that she always acted like she was wiser than Jon didn't make up for the fact that she was borderline mentally retarded in the decisions she made and the things she said. I was glad for the character development for Jon in that he had to test the limits and application of his oath, but I was glad to see her go.

Family yadling?

ROFL.

I'm still, and probably always will be, confused by the disdain her character gets.

I don't remember which book it's in, but when she and Jon go down into the caves.....it was just plain awesome.

That's where he found his heart.

If the literary vehicle for him to get to that development was a redhead with teeth a little bent up....I'm alright with that.

She sounded pretty to me :)

I have a know-it-all snaggletoothed redhead at home, I don't need them to follow me into my leisure reading.

I agree with Wiggum every young fella needs somebody to break the ice and sometimes the warmest heart can be found behind a snaggletooth.

Of course Tywin is correct, sometimes a snaggletooth can be used to rip and tear and clearly the damage can be hard to deal with. ;)

After last night's show featuring the introduction of Ygritte, where, o where is Wiggum? Wherefore art thou, Wiggs.

Is the YADL growing exponentially still?

Family yadling... how did I ever miss that one!!!! What if you like Wiggum's ideas, can we call that Wiggling?

I'm going to be a jerk and have to point out that wherefore means why. :p

On the topic of Ygritte, I really like her character so far, and also that the scenes with each character is getting longer, and they aren't having to jump around so much.

However, I am starting to really dislike Dany. I don't think it's the actress's fault, so much as it is the writing. It is like she's already in Mereen and I wish someone would just kill her.

I reakon Ygritte is a bit of a looker in the TV show, so........ She's got that goin for her.

See Boaz.

Y.A.D.L. Wiggled out that Ygritte was hot a long, long time ago.

Y.A.D.L. knows all.

And, yes, yadling is trending right now.

Somewhere.

The actress is very fine looking. :)

Not much snaggle though.

Trending? Wherefore is it trending? I'm just gonna stay in my club of one for Dacey. Mmmmmmmm, Dacey.

mtzGr, I'd like to claim that I was drinking heavily when I misused wherefore, but it was eight in the morning and even I have certain standards... so I'll just claim ignorance. By the way, was your father a grad professor at Notre Dame?
