I guess I'd better re-read that series.

I find Octavia Butler to be an author who I feel I should like, but just haven't been able to connect with. However, I did watch the television adaption of Kindred and rather liked it. It did make me wonder if the problem with me and her writing was that I was too Anglo to really enjoy her writing. In Kindred I was always frustrated by the stupidity of the racist past and present in that book. I suppose that was her intention but it did not make for as enjoyable watch as I would have liked. So there you go.
