I thought i'd start a thread for the new Star Wars live action TV series.

Publicised as Goonies in Space, it looks like fun. I haven't seen it, but reviews suggest that it isn't bad at all. Has anyone seen it?

I've watched the first three episodes. It's not bad, but I also wouldn't call it good. Basically it comes down for me that it is clearly designed for the 8-12 year-old audience. There are some major holes in the set up, which I suppose could be fixed in the following episodes but I don't expect it. If you are a serious Star Wars fan, I suspect that you'll find yourself longing for almost any of the other Star Wars spin-offs. It reminds me more of Peter Pan than the Goonies.

I don't know if I should feel insulted, because I really like it! It's definitely playing the 80's nostalgia card hard, but like Stranger Things it's succeeding in doing that, where something like Super 8 didn't. It's not quite on the same level as Stranger Things (and skews more to a younger audience) but I've found it really enjoyable so far.

I think we've watched about 3 or 4 episodes so far, but we're enjoying it. My daughter is 14 and she likes it, and my husband and I are both children of the 80's. We're enjoying the overall nostalgic feel of the show but with today's effects and visual quality. :giggle:

I binged watched this on the weekend. I thought it was good entertainment. I am not a huge Star Wars fan. I enjoyed the movies, and the Mandalorian. Didn't like Andor or the Acolyte.

Still on my "to watch" list (along with season 1 and 2 of The Mandalorian, Ob-Wan and The Acolyte). I really enjoyed Andor but thought that there was too much nonsense in Ahsoka to be a good show. A shame, as i really wanted to like this.

Finished Episode six of eight, and my opinion remains unchanged. Not bad, but definitely aimed at pre-teens or maybe younger. I still think Peter Pan is pretty fair guide to the level of intensity in this series.

Oh, and the Book of Boba Fett.

I've ordered The Mandalorian (all three series) and Ahsoka on BR and intend to binge them one weekend.
