    Anyone who read 'Deep Secret'

Can you tell me why you like this book? It's my first novel from Diana and of course I chose one of her few books for adults, which is painfully obvious when the main character is a ****ing programmer... She has said people like to read about work, after all. The book cover seemed whimsical...

    Diana Wynne Jones

She is probably my favourite author, and @The Bluestocking and I were discussing her here, so I thought I'd suggest where people might start. She's kind of unusual in that she wrote books for 5-8 year olds right the way to adult, but most of what she wrote (I think) qualifies as Middle Grade...

    Diana Wynne Jones has died

I'm seeing reports today that Diana Wynne Jones (Howl's Moving Castle, The Chrestomanci series) has passed away. I can't believe it! I wish my favourite authors could keep writing forever. It's a sad day for sci fi/fantasy literature. :(

I would now like to re-read some of those books, but can't recall the authors/titles. There are two I'd like to find: First, a novel about a...

    Dianna Wynne Jones

Since there wasn't a DWJ thread here I decided that there needed to be one. So what are some of your favourites in her work? I just recently started re-reading the Chrestomanci series. What about you?
  8. HappyHippo

    (Found) Diana Wynne Jones Book

Looking for a book, tried Googling but brain not functioning! A boy, some kind of time/world travel device. At the end, he's talking into a machine which records onto pellets. Random linked memories includes cricket, men in grey robes, and a girl. Any help at all, please!

    The Pinhoe Egg

Diana Wynne Jones, is the marvellous author of the Chrestomanci series which started 30 years ago. I bought my eldest (10 years old) a copy of The Pinhoe Egg for her birthday. She's has read some of this authors previous books and so she was looking forward to reading it. Kate sent me an...
