Died peacefully in her sleep aged 89.
Of all the books I've read, I've always considered To Kill A Mockingbird one of the most perfectly written books I have ever cast eyes on.
A great loss, but she has left a great legacy in that one masterpiece.

Interesting story. Apparently she wrote it before the classic and was asked to expand on Scout's flashbacks. The result is an American classic. It's also the only novel she ever published until now. I'm very curious... usually long-delayed...
