As a newbie to this forum, I hope this topic has not already been done to death...

Has anyone else noticed / commented on what seem to be a number of themes in the GRRM novelette, "The Skin Trade", which are also to be found in the "Anita Blake - Vampire Hunter" series? I have not heard anywhere that GRRM was mentioned as one of her influences in creating this series...??
 
Welcome to Chronicles OG. I am not familiar with Blake books, but I cannot recall anyone here discussing that recently.

I have not heard anything about Laurell K. Hamilton being influenced by George R.R. Martin, but it wouldn't be surprising - I'm sure he's influenced nearly every writer, at least a little bit, in the fantasy realms.
