will sirius return in book seven. when other characters in the series died Rowling actually showed them dieing or has shown their ghosts. sirius on the other hand just disapeared through a door way leaving no body. now that dumbledore's on the other side could it not be possible that he helps sirius to return and take over hogwarts in his stead?lol

I would love for that crackpot theory to come true Heron, let's hope Ms Rowling pops by and sees it and thinks it's a fab idea!!!!

xx

I hope he remains dead, cause my ex-girlfriend was just so fond of that character it made me sick, she nearly suffered from shock when he died, and I won't be able to stand another moaning from her and her friends about how great Sirius was...

I bet she loved Sirius more than me :D

In the grand scale of things, I would LOVE Sirius back, I shared the same theory, there was no body when Sirius died,so its plausible that he could return!!:)

Void Dragon:

I am sure your girlfriend loves you.

:)

I do worry about how she feels, cause I hope she feels very, very, very, very, very, very bad for dumping me...
(the only chance she probably ever had...)

I've been wondering about Sirius coming back since he died. I hope he does but I'm doubting it at this point.

I don't think he will come back. Rowling is very strict when it comes to death - if someone dies, he remains dead. Voldemort was never dead, so he didn't come back from death.

Besides, Sirius death was useful for Harry's development. He now surely won't ever believe images in his head again!

I think we will definitely see him, or hear from him in some form. He is still 'dead', but she deliberately left the Veil scene open and hinted heavily that there were ways of communicating with those beyond the veil.

I had the same theory when I read the book, you either die or you don't die you just don't go behind a curtain and dissapear, I think there is a possability he will come back in some form but I don't hold out much hope of it happening

I would love to have Sirius back among the living again for the next book, but I really doubt it's going to happen. JK Rowling has done a wonderful job of getting us attached to a character and then kiliing them off - it's heartbreaking, but I believe in a good way because we are nearly as outraged as the characters when someone dies. Harry has been shaped by death; first his parents, then his friend, his godfather, and his mentor. I would not be surprised if this last book had a very unhappy ending, no Sirius, no Dumbledore, and possibly no Harry.
