Good ideas come from the inspirations of the mind.
What are some favorite websites, magazines, etc. about writing and publishing that could help us in our writing and ultimate goal of becoming a published author? Mainly I am looking for websites for science fiction-fantasy-horror writers, but all links and sources are welcome. There are no wrong answers here in this thread. I think we could all learn from a thread like this, because many writer's websites are still undiscovered to many of us. Thanks.

This is one site I have found so far that has been very helpful for me; actually I was a full-blown member here before I even found Chronicles, but now I love both equally:

please pm me and let me know if you join this site; I would love to know...

Give me your best!

My favorite website, right after the Chronies of course (phew saved my arse there, just) is Duotrope. Me not being computery, it took me a while to figure out how it worked, but now I know, it's brilliant. It's a machine that searches magazines and online zines that ask for submissions of fiction. You can search on word count, payment, genre, all that kind of stuff. It's what Internet is made for (right after Chronies of course).

Thanks Marky, that's exactly what I am talking about. This could turn out to be a really interesting thread if people would submit the best they got. I think threads that are informative and teach us how to write are the best threads on this forum. Therefore, we should really be thankful for forums like this, because without it, we would be that much less informed. Think about it...
