Classic Vintage writers - I'm compyling a list. can you help?

I'm after a list of classic vintage writers... I know the usual group - the Bester's, the Dick's and the Blish's... but I'm after a more unusual ones... like Nutter etc...

Might help if we had more of an idea of who you already have on the list. For instance, it doesn't help if I mention Kuttner and Moore, or Kornbluth, or Ramyond Z. Gallun or George O. Smith if you already have them there. So perhaps, if the list is not too terribly long, you might post it so that we don't end up covering a lot of ground more than once.

Also, what are you thinking of when you say classic vintage writers? How far back, and how recent? What sort of thing do you consider classic (though the list should answer that one)? Would you include people like Capt. S. P. Meek from the pulps in that category? Or Murray Leinster? What about Adelbert Kline? Lester Dent? Give us a little more to go on, please. Then I'm sure you'll have more names than you can shake a stick at (to use a trite phrase)....
 
Yes I can probably assist in this endeavour too but as JD suggests a current list and a clearer defnition would help. Also from the names being thrown up it looks like we're talking more SF than fantasy and I know it's the SF subforum but do you want only SF in the list?
