any authors that you feel are missing and why

Peter F Hamilton: English Writer, great serises, briliant writer, where is he, hes english for gods sakes

Sub forums are created for authors when there are enough topics about them to warrent it. So start discussing, and you never know your luck...

Rane is absolutely right.

The Authors Forum is not for writers that members should be talking about -- it's a way of organizing what people are already talking about.

When there are enough active threads on one author's works -- and enough people posting in them -- then if members ask for a new sub-forum there is a very good chance they will get it.

Try to stimulate a little conversation on Hamilton -- and/or review some of his books in the Reviews forum -- and see what happens.

It seems that Authors that write several books in the same world have a better chance to be in there. Like many people in the forums seem to agree that Guy Gavriel Kay is one of the best fantasy writers but most of his stories are stand alone books so there is no continuing saga to discuss.

Peter F. Hamilton is one of the better SF writers out there at the moment and I would certainly contribute to any discussion of his work. I think he's the only writer whom I actually own everything ever written by him (apart from Watching Trees Grow and his Lightstorm book - erm, so I don't own etc).

Rane keeps telling me this guy is pretty damn good, so I might just point my antennae in that direction after consuming my current TBR pile.

Do you have a copy of his short story, 'White Loci Peak'?

Isaak Asimov is one of my favorite writers, but since i mostly read what other members say instead of writing myself (most things i would say, other people say it before me) i don't know if my opinion on this subject should matter

Actually, I'd be very interested in what you have to say. You never know when a comment of your own will spark a really good discussion.

Nope. His non-Confederation short stories seem to be difficult to get hold of (the Confederation ones are published in A Second Chance at Eden.

I have several copies :) I was co-editor of the magazine it was published in.
