Obsessing is a good thing.
FINALLY the blood prince has been released!! On Hardback though :(.

The next and final book in the series is called "the born queen" which is due for a release late 2007/early 2008! Ooooo the excitement! :D

I guess this is part of the Briar King series of books? I'll pick it up over the weekend (forbidden planet, hereI come!!!)

I think you mean The Blood Knight. ;)

But yes, this is a good series, and The Blood Knight is the best by far, IMO.

I just read through the prologue. It shows a lot of promise. Now to squeeze out money for the hard cover edition. Woe is me, for I am ruined financially!!! (but at least I will read a good book)

i've not been that impressed with the series to be honest. well the first one, it was just a bit rushed to me. lacked any depth, any vividness. *shrug*

Huh? Faery Queen...I thought it was a pretty good series actually. Blood Knight is supposed to come out in TPB this week here, so I'm eagerly awaiting to get my hands on this next book.

i was so bored with the first one, i never bothered (and won't) with the second one. i never liked any of the characters, i thought they were one dimenionsial, and there was a total lack of any detail which made the whole thing seem really flat to me. im a character/detail person. not that interested in plot, which didn't really interest me either! no atmosphere, nothing gripped me.

Ive just got the Charnel Prince, so still got a ways to go yet :D

I enjoyed the first book, but i have yet to find the second one anywhere. What is it like in comparison? I love the look of the third book.. as far as cover art goes, it looks very nice :)

Though not up to the standards of some other recent series, this is one that at least is keeping me interested. Some characters and story threads are more interesting than others, true. But will definitely be getting this one.

Does anyone know when the paperback is being released? Its normally 6 months after the hardback isn't it?
Not sure, we're supposed to be getting a TPB release in September but I'll believe it when I see it.

Ah. What an amazing weekend. The book was sold out @ Forbidden planet. Same story at waterstones. I finally picked up the last copy at borders. Go me!!!

Looks like you'll be one of the first people on the forum to read it. Let us know what you think (but no spoilers obviously!!!!) :D
