I was thinking of late that Brandon and Frodo resemble each other in many ways, the way the story is set u^p so far, it got me thinking that beside all the other stories, even Jon and Dany's, that they are basically a diversion, essential yes, but likein Lotr it might come to be that they alll just distract the enemy in the end while Bran brings down the kill.

I am hoping that this is not the case however for i for one would be dissapointed, i mean it will definitely not be exactly the same but the general direction may be, in many ways the story has indeed been evolving towards such an end
 
I think even the most avid readers of ASoIaF have no idea how it will end.

We assume it'll be a "happy" ending with the Others defeated - hell, it could reasonably end with a mass refugee exodus from Westeros and the complete destruction and consumation of the entire Seven Kingdoms continent into permanent winter.

I see where you're coming from in the comparison but Bran has a long way to go before I think we can predict him meeting the children of the forest etc

I think there's a few more twists and turns in this beastie yet... :)

Oh and Paige, I always assumed that's what Lembas bread was for? After all, those elves were probably bulimic to stay that thin & beautiful :D
 
hobbits dont exist so how on earth you gonna regulate them, put midgets in a science lab and start a breeding plan ?
 
Regulate as in being "regular".

Maybe this will help: Quand tu mange trop beacoup de son, tu vas aux toilettes très régulièrement...en anglais du son que tu mange est "bran"
 
When i eat to much "son" (cant remember), i have to go to the toilet regularly, replace "son" with Bran

Anyways, enough with the fibre, I disagree that GRRM may have modelled Bran Stark on Frodo.
 
modelled no, but they seem to be heading in the same kind of direction, chaos everywhere and in the end he saves the day

"zemelen" is a type of cookie, so what u mean laxitives, i dont think they make you sh-it, they are used for the opposite no ? I mean you eat dry cookies and stuff when you got diarrhea, so your sh-it goes hard :rolleyes:

riiiiiight...no one has actually discussed the branDON/frodo comparison...which I don't see anyway. BranDON's much cooler than Frodo. Frodo was useless
 
No he wasn't, he was the only one who could resist the pull of the ring long enough to get it to its destruction place, nobody else could have done that, i mean he wore the ring for a year before succumbing to it only in the place whre its power is the strongest.

And i dont mean Bran and frodo are the same, i am saying that the story potlines may at the end show comparison, all a diversion, and the real move up to Bran

And really, i dont know what a TMI-line is so someone..., i probably know it in dutch, but not in english
