Today, some silly woman send me a huge tome. J.R.R. Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings illustrated by Alan Lee. Whenever I get a Tome (yes, capital) like this in my hands, I want to write something like this as well. But, I never finish something like this. So, I was thinking to join forces. I like to do something in the fantasy world, but then I want to make it big, with a big history and all. And, I can't do it alone. I was thinking of brainstorming with three or four people and write something together.

Anyone up for it?

I have a few projects on the go at the moment, but I'd really love to have a hand in this. Just drop me a line if you're happy to have me on board.

If I like you on board? Is it warm on the sun?

Lol. I'm up for it. Heck, I have about a thousand semi-planned worlds in my notebook, on the comp, and in my head.

Splendid, I was thinking of three to four people myself; I'll drop you a line any time soon.

Eventually, I'd really like to do something like this, but for now, I need to practice with a few short stories and such until I improve to what I consider to be an acceptable level.

Good luck with this project, guys/gals/etc. :D

Who says you are the silly woman? I get that book all the time send by mail by tons of different people...

Done a fair bit of collab work in my time, so I would like to suggest something. Nominate someone to be editor-in-chief. Give them the right to control the overall flow and editing. You need an outside pair of eyes and a firm pair of hands to keep you on the straight and narrow. :D Because there will come a time when all of you want scenes or the overall story to go in different directions. If you have an independent editor keeping you all in line it helps a lot.

Excellent advice Sue.... *cough*.... Did you, by chance, know anyone that would like the job? *cough* ... nudge, nudge.:D ;)

Mmm for the moment I've got other things to attend to (read: exams). And by the time my life has grown normal (read: as weird as it used to be). You guy's have taken off (me guesses), I'll be glad giving support of any kind.
(note this support doesn't include:
-me dressing up in cheerleader costume and travel around to the people writing, for giving cheering support.
-Me dressing up as a woman and send pictures of me dressed up as a woman
-no grammatical support (I'd send it to chris and claim the applause for myself)
-mind consuming mechanisms used on me that leave me dumber before the support than after the support (yeah maybe it shows that this one I know out of experience))
So if you need anything, give me a ring or an e-mail thing.:p
