Remember the Telepath War, the next great conflict after the Earth Civil War? This has been on my mind for some time. What has bothered me about this for so long is that J. Michael Straczynski has done nothing to bring this idea to the fans. The Telepath War ended before Crusade offically starts up. In Season's 4, and especially 5, it gets really built up. But does he persue it? Does he bring this great battle, with Mr. Chekov in the middle of it, to see the light of day? No. He jumps the gun and, unfortunately, creates a failed series, that only saw 13 episodes. Now, I'm not critizing him too harshly, because he created five seasons of excellent entertainment for us, but why doesn't he do something like Farscape did with the Peacekeeper Wars? Whitestar recently told us of some lost episodes that Straczynski is supposedly working on. If he does films these, do you think he will be able to work the Telepath War in there, or do you think that it needs more than just a few, 43 minute episodes? I'll be on vacation, so I won't be able to respond, but I'll look at your guys' comments and welcome any info you guys may have when I get back. Laterz.

Hi Vigilante, and welcome to chronicles. :)

As for the Telepath War - it would certainly be interesting if this is an area that he will explore with the new episodes.

Personally I'm not holding my breath too much, simply because I've been disappointed with some of the material that has been filmed since B5.

But as it goes without saying that elements of B5 were sheer genuis, I can only hope we see that returned again somewhow, in whatever format works best with it.

Well, as I've posted elsewhere, I liked Crusade, so I don't feel he was jumping the gun or that it's his fault that Crusade failed. But I absolutely agree, Vigilante, that focusing on the Telepath Wars would be interesting and quite welcome! Koenig's portrayal of Psi cop Bester went a long way toward making the Psi Corps intriguing--simultaneously bad and good--and I'd like to see how the Telepath Wars fits into that moral gray area.
