Which Trek character is the most annoying of all? (Barring Wesley Crusher, of course)

Every Trek show has characters who we like very much and there are others who we sort-of care about, and then there are characters who we just can't stand, no matter what. Till today, Wesley Crusher wins the award for the most annoying character in Treklore. However, that choice is much too obvious to viewers, therefore, I have excluded him from the list.

My choice for most annoying character in all the Trek shows goes to Deanna Troi. Her character was poorly conceived from the get-go and what was most irritating about her was stating the obvious. For instance, I recalled a scene in season two where K'Ehleyr smashes a glass table in her quarters after having an argument with her former boyfriend, Worf when suddenly, Troi intrudes (without even bothering to knock!) and says, "You're very angry." My response, "Like no s**t Sherlock! Even my sensor readings picked that up!" LOL! Anyway, that's my most annoying Trek character. Anybody else?

In Voyager I would have to say the most annoying charecter is Cap Cathrine Janeway... simply because she is always pi***ng about and dosent stick to her most important mission of getting her crew home!

Fair enough I know the series wouldnt of been as interesting but she constantly endangers the crews lives recklessly...

can't remember if it was in voyager or ds-9 but I think it was voyager the little alien dude I found very annoying very seldom watched either and that was part of the reason

Ah, Mr Neelix, I presume. Yes, he could be irritating at times. I personally find Malcolm from the Enterprise series irritates me more than anyone else. He's such a pessimist. I never could stand people who would never look at the bright side.

That's not fair. :)

Troi never really did it for me, either - and unfortunately became the conduit for a range of viewer-challenging plotlines involving her mother.

Oh God, yes! Lwanana is just as bad as Deanna, runs in the family, it figures. :p

Neelix !

I wanted him thrown into an airlock and spaced. (with Wesley Crusher :))

I didnt care much for Troi either. I reserve the right to add to this list later.....;)

Actually, I thought Barclay was a nice breath of fresh air, considering how the majority of Next Gen characters were too squeaky clean and sterile. He was one of the few characters that I liked because he had issues and was a little "off". It was his eccentricity that made him an interesting character and I just wished that all the Next Gen characters were just as compelling.

I'm really suprised that nobody mentioned Barclay. His poor attempt at comic relief was much more irritating than funny. I also have to admit that the only character that Majel Barrett played that I could stand was "Number One" in the pilot.

Aside from Wesley - hmmmm -

Before last year at Gatecon, I might've said the holographic Doctor from Voyager, but Robert Picardo's too much fun. And I really didn't dislike the Doc - just didn't like Voyager.

So - hmmmm - Jake Sisko - the little Ferengi kid too - they annoyed me on DS9. The storylines they had were always boring and predictable.

I blame the parents, especially the red headed whinger on any of her holier than thou power trips.

Seconded!

With Deanna coming a close second. It's a pity too, because she had the potential to be such a great character and a useful asset. But she was always written so pathetically.

*whispers*
I was never annoyed by Wesley. In fact I kinda had a crush on him ;)

I liked Barclay.

Troi had potential but I agree, they didn't conceive her character well. Her entire career can be summed up as, "I'm sensing something."

My least favorite is Neelix.

Another vote for Neelix.

On DS9 I did not like Sisko, Major Kira, Odo the shapeshifter, any of the Ferengi, any of the children, any of the Cardassians...Wait that's everybody. No, Worf, Dax and O'Brian were OK.
