This was a very emotional ep. They immidiatly got us to love Cassandra and then they tell us she gonna blow up? Not kosher. Got me all upset. Was happy though when everything was fine. I give it a 9 out of 10.

"You don't think the Colonel has a telescope on his roof to look in his neighbor's windows, do you?"
"Well, not at first."

LOL

I do wish they'd pair up Teal'c and Jack more often and get them talking. It is always interesting to watch when these two old warhorses get together.

This was another episode that showed the horrors of war and that even though we wish it otherwise, sometimes the innocent are the ones who get hurt the worse and that there really isn't any way we can change it.

Another round of applause for Carter for not allowing Cassandra to remain alone.

Cheers,

OK, I've gotta tread lightly here it seems. Every1 seems to love this ep. but it is one of the few (and I mean few) ep.s of SG-1 that I don't like. I mean I like the thought provoking episodes but there are much better ones. Learning curve was along a similar vein but was MUCH better. I reckon 5/10 TOPS. Sorry!

Well, I suppose (up to the point I have seen in series 4) we have not yet had the sci-fi cliche/classic of a civilisation that appears to be children but are actually adults (and/or th adults are the inferiors to the kids).

i thought the whole point was to use the child for an emotional response? Nurti (it was Nurti right?) KNEW that the Tau'ri would NEVER leave a small child alone on a planet, no matter what was going on - sick, dying, etc. - the Tau'ri would do one of two things - stay with the child until she died, or take her back to Earth to try to heal her, or care for her - and guess what? Nurti was right - that's exactly what the Tau'ri did - that was the point of the episode - to show the compassion that humans feel for others - to show that the Tau'ri are different from the goa'uld -

(now, there might be other similar qualities btwn the Tau'ri and the goa'uld, but that's another topic)
