Brought back Makepeace - one of the people I always liked. And we got to see Hammond go through the Stargate and just how far he would go to help out his own people. We got to also witness what was taking place on Chulak with the destruction of Apophis and, I think, helps to justify my comments in the Rules of Engagement forum. <G>
The Tok'ra in the episode, I think, was someone I'd like to see more of. From a lot of what is being shown about them, I think that she was unique in that she tried to save Jack at the expense of her own identity with the Goa'uld.

I did kind of wonder what had gotten into Daniel. He seemed quite out of it through the whole thing and really kind of out of character with what we had seen thus far.

The 'threading the needle' trick was great and I really grinned with Hammond when he yelled 'Yahoo'. Kind of reminded me of Slim Pickens in Dr. Strangelove. <G>

Cheers,

I don't know. Except for Jack's one liners this episode seemed kind of strange. I couldn't follow the timeline well because the clues, given at the gate itself kept changing from daylight to dark and back when it should not have changed. I think they should Do more with Teal'c and his fight to free the Jaffa! And more with Master Bra 'tac. Missed the Jack, Bra'tac interchanges that made The serpent's grasp so good!

kel sha,

i think that was quite good -- i'm sure that some jack fans gor a little shock as it seems to be jack would becoma a host :)

but it's quite unreal that a such huge generator (for the shields) aren't protected by any guards -- every idiot has the thought to kill the shield generator if he can't break the shield ..

it was quite good effect when the ship flew throught the chappa'ai ..

in summary i must say i like it quite much ..

I can't beleive they just kiled Hathor off like that! She should come back! She was kinda cool. I dreamt about her the other night actually.... ;)

Good episode in my opinion. Liked seeing Hathor again and it was great seeing Hammond go through the gate again.
Bye

are you sure hammond went through the gate in the taldor episode? i thought into the fire was his first time!

YES, Prisoners was his first and he was nervous...(snicker snicker...the man who sent so many people through.... snicker snicker) and Into the Fire was his second.... (Does threading the needle with T-Man count as his third?)

you know - hathor was just cryogenically frozen - now to a typical human tat would probably kill them, with the exception of sg1.

:rolly2: they could easily bring back hathor - just say her 'pod' survived the blast and some of her minions found her. probably not gonna happen but hey this is sci-fi:alienooh:

Yeah, Hathor's been brought back from popsicle status in plenty of fanfic - they could do it on the show if they wanted to!

Loved the threading the needle scene--- YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Jack as a host was just too scary.

Can ne1 explain 2 me y jack hugged sam? im sure that it woz just because he woz 'cold' but wot does evry1 else think?

LENE, WELCOME!

I think he was very glad to see her also. The last thing he remembered was Dr. Raleigh bending over him telling him she would kill his snake as the darned thing was attaching to his mind. I would hug a friend in thoes circumstances also. POOR JACK!

Yeehaw!

Or however you're meant to spell it!

'Into the Fire' was one big ep for blowing things up! Reminds me not to let little sis and bro watch in evening (have *you* ever been threatened with a zat gun/clothes hanger?)

Daniel was out of it. Weird. But the bit when Jack hugged Sam.... You could really feel for the guy considering he almost ended up a host. And the computer stuff on the symbiote was pretty good too. They way it enters Jack's neck! uggh! (I do have the video of this, btw.)
Teal'c was fantastic! You could see the friendship between him and Bra'tac, though I did miss the old master and Jack together, that would of been funny.

The cryrogenic freezing..... hmmm.... I'm not convinced Hathor would of died that quickly. But it didn't look as if she could get out, and certainly didn't have any one to get her out. (Hey, all the jaffa got killed by SG1 and co, right?)

But she wasn't in a pod - she was tipped head first into the cryo liquid. It looked pretty cold, and there was no-one else there to even see, let alone help pull her out. Though it is still feasible for e.g. the film... [Always change you believe to be solid facts ;) ]

So, it depends on the cryo process: this may only be an initial/final freeezing stage/temperature, with the "main storage" being much colder.

WHOA - it may not be a real cryo process at all - they are only faking it, after all. Oh no it must be real, that is how they stopped Jack being a host. So, it must be cold enough to stop the blending, which presumably means falling into it is not going to be very beneficial. Depends on how deep it is perhaps - as per the fan-fic, it is perhaps still an option. How about her and Ra back again - see Films forum.
