Oh those Taldor people pissed me off. How can you not try to at least hear someone elses story. One of those races that are never wrong. At least Linea was there to help them out. I give it a 9 out of 10.

Fundamentalists abound and there is nothing anyone can do to try to change them. <G> It brought out the issue of how to look at the law and whether we should follow the 'letter of the law' or the 'intent'.
Is it better to allow 20 guilty men to go free than to wrongfully imprison one innocent man? It's a difficult question to answer, I believe.

Cheers,

I don't think anyone said it was better. It's a question of ethics and morality and who has the right to judge.

A good episode in my opinion!
Especially Jack's comment "Teal'C look scary and take point"
Linea is pretty cool!

The Destroyer of Worlds. ;) Pretty scary concept though, the whole Taldor thing (was that the name?). No such thing as extenuating circumstances, no mercy ... nada. Kind of takes away from the humanity thing, I think.

Cheers,

Heh, yeah Taldor (meaning justice) Yeah i think i might go and watch Past and Present now :)

All debts have now been repaid Mything :)

BOOOOOOOOM

(hehe, okay that is pretty lame, but work with me here) :)

Aww, come on Vera! Is wasn't that bad? I cannot think of one Stargate episode that I think iw crap!
There were some good quotes (Mything help me think of some! We are good at that)
When Jack says "Teal'C look scary and take point"
And the look that Jack gives Daniel when he finds out that J has been to prison!
A good part was when Hammond went thorugh the Stargate, that was cool learning to exhale instead of inhale (or vice versa)
Linea was cool!

Yeah, some guotes are good. The scene when one of prisoners
tries to make friendship with Teal'c.
Prisoner: "You are very strong, yes?"
Teal'c: "I am."
P.: Maybe you challenge Vishnor, maybe you win. Maybe...I be your friend?"
T.: "Maybe not."

And also the scene with "food" - when Jack tries to taste it.

But, still I think it's one of the weakest eps. of all the show.

Vera,
I liked parts of Prisoners but I think Need was a tad bit more so than Prisoners. Both were interesting concepts that just didn't gell for me!

Ok, people, but still I don't like this episode much. :D

I keep agreeing with Vera, it is not among my top eighteen of the year! (Since they only make 22 episodes a year) guess Vera and I come in close where ranking this one is concerned!) So sue us! or... Thank goodness we disagree about episodes...means we are all different and have different tastes... Vera and I won't have this one for dessert!

Okay I'm going to agree with jsc (oh my gawd, what are you thinking ;)) and Vera. Prisoners isn't one of my all time favorites either. It had a few cute lines and moments in it, but for me there was something lacking and I'm not really sure what it was.

The concept was all right, the acting was okay, the scenery was depressing enough, but there just wasn't that pizzaz I'd gotten used to in other episodes.

I just mark it down to I can't love them all as much as I'd like to do so.

Cheers,

Sorry I am THAT disgusting to agree with! Guess because we are figthing over Andromeda all the time MythingLink likes... I am in the OH MY GOD They are on THAT! Kevin Sorbo is great and so is Strait! I even like the guy that plays the.. cute blond short guy and Andromeda is good and so is the lady that plays the young ousted captain, and the Nitscheian guy with the dreads aahh (Sorry can support all the brothers but this dude while cute and can act doesn't have much of a umph. Not like Avery Brooks or the T-Man!) It's the other thing about the writers.
