This definitly was an odd episode. Well, Dwight Schultz was a brilliant choice. I don't know what else he's been in, but the word for him here is sadistic. I think that he wanted 'drama' for his residents, and in some twisted way (considering he's been there for so long), he thought that emotional, tragic scenes like those chosen were best. Apart from that, I did think that they would use Charlie's death for Jack, but possibly not after using what would of basically been the same in 'Cold Lazarus'. The death of Daniel's parents'? I don't know what anyone thinks about that acting in that part, but for me that stood out above all the emotion/angst or whatever you could call it for the entire episode, as that was just horrifying. Seeing that from a point of view of the character, as a child? Fictional or not it doesn't bear thinking about. Overall, good marks for drama/emotion, and the idea of the plot (Virtual Reality), but is was kind of slow by the end.
Ah!, Teal'c's hair, Ah! (Ha Ha!)
