Salutations, (God that is corny!)Let me rephrase that, Hi everybody my name is E.T. and i am new here. Always loved Sci-Fi and always will! I live in Maine and work as a paramedic. Most people belive that anyone who adores Sci-Fi is a geek, But i am a living contradiction to that. I was born and raised in Ireland but moved to the old u.s. of a. to be with my brother who is also a paramedic. Well anyway i feel in love with Stargate after my brother introduced me to the series. I worked as model before deciding to beacome a paramedic and do not regret my change in line of work. Would love to have plenty of freinds, please reply!

Some members of my family came from over that way a couple of generations ago - does that count? ;-)

Welcome to the board E.T. You'll meet some friendly folk flying around these skies.

Cheers,

Never been infact (I live in England) but should, hopefully be going to Ireland at Easter in a hocket tour for a few days to Dublin which would be cool.

Where abouts in Ireland? north/south ?

Thank you all!

Thank you all for the abundent replies to my introduction. Your replies brought an enfinity of smiles and i am feeling very accepted!!!!! To answer some of your questions, I was born in northren Ireland. I lived in a middle sized town named Dungannon, near the lager town of Cookstown, which is northwest to the Beaghmore stone circles. I lived in a little farm house there until age seven, when we moved to Dublin where i lived until i was 18. I am now 22 and living in Davenport, Maine. My brother has since recently moved back to Ireland, and I now preside here with my dog, Yeaty (after W.B. Yeats) and my boyfriend Terrence. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!

LOVE YOU ALL!
E.T.Roswell

P.S. You don't have to be from Ireland for me to like you, it was just a way for me to present myself.

So you a fan of Roswell, i almost asked if your name was E.T.Roswell just checking but that would have been silly wouldn't it :)

Eventually we will have talkroswell.com here as well hehe.

Hey, could have changed it like you said that guy who changed his named to Oxford University or some other such silliness. ;-)

Cheers,

Chances are that they didn't. I would imagine they probably had a pretty good case against him using it as a personal web site. Name recognition and all.

Cheers,

Maybe but he does own it, it has to be a trademark infringment to take the domain. Also, you have the right to your own name, many american celebrities have won court cases to get their names back so you can't just go reigster brittneyspears.com par example. I wonder, i recon Oxford paid for it, easier and quicker and they are certainly not short of money without the amount they extract from us. He registered lots of other names like http://www.new-college.com and equivalents so i wonder if they have those as well, off to check!

Yeah true, but the only thing is he changed his name via the legal system, he wasn't born Oxford University. I don't know. I think the guy's dealing from a short deck.

Cheers,

A little confused

Thanks again for the replies, but i'm a little lost on this Oxford thing. Could someone please explain this to me? Thanks! I have to take Yeaty to the vet, so i'll write as soon as possible.

I am at new college, oxford such a great place i love it. I go back a week on Monday and can't wait!

Oh yeah, sorry Roswell. The oxford-university thing, that was about someone who registered that domain name after changing their name to Mr Oxford-Univeristy.com because they then thought they would have the right to it! Mything was joking that perhaps you changed your name to E.T.Roswell after i almost asked if it was your real name :)

Some answers to your questions

Well first of all, I didn't go to college(don't hit me!) after finishing high school I went to modeling school and while modeling I worked on becoming a paramedic. Yes! being a paramedic is a stress filled job. I work 3 days a week from about 5:00 to 10:00 (sometimes 12:00. I have always loved helping people and always been able to deal with stress very easily. Yeaty is a chiwawa (is that spelled right?*SHRUG*) anyways got to go, CYA!

Love,
E.T. Roswell

Heh, paramedic? cool....
Well like Mything half my family came from Ireland but I'm true blue Aussie...
I have a Golden Retriever called 'Rastus'....

I've always admired people who go into Emergency Services. If they had had them when I was young and energetic, that's the field I probably would have gone into.

Pets? We have a half bassett hound/half beagle named Crystal and a tabby named S'earl. Oh, don't want to forget the iguana named Urgo. <G>

Cheers,

Seems to be a popular site for paramedics :)

Pets.. i have a dog called Sooty (black lab!) who is simply the best dog in the world. We have a cat called Tango who i would not be sad to see drown.. ok.. not that bad but i really dislike it. Such a horrible animal. Unfortunatly the dog is too good and however hard i try i can't get it to attack the cat.

We have goldfish as well and we used to have hamsters but gave up i think on hammy5 (ok we didn't called them all hammy, we have fluffy, jp (jurassic park - don't ask..).. so that is about it really.
