Hi guys!
What about a small quiz?
From what episode and who said: "This is colonel O'Neill. He is much loved by Apophis."

Ok, it was toooo easy for you. What about: "Car wash?"

Mything should be banned from quizes, although i think we should have a challenge to find a question she can't answer without resorting to tapes.. hehe.

Car wash? You got me on that one, so padders there's one I dont' know off the top of my head. <G>

Cheers,

Ok, here's a small hint: it's from season 1. ;)

Easy. That is when they are closing down the Stargate and Jack and Hammond are talking and Jack is suggesting ways to raise money, "Bake sale, yard sale, garage sale?" Hammond replies sadly, "Colonel, this is what I look like when I am not smiling." Jack cracks, "Car wash?" and Hammond chortles and and and I am typing all this because I can't remember if it is "Politics" or "Within the Serpents Grasp". But I do remember the quote...One of my favorites... Next to(in the same 4 arc series), "From your mouth to God's ear." said very sarcasticly and not by Jack! Well, I'll guess..."Politics" ... and be incorrect.

I think it is from Within the Serpent's Grasp because it is when he tells them that the program is cancelled and i don't think that happens in Policits (need the phone call form the presidenat which happens after he goes back ...)

Okay I remember now. It is from Serpent's Grasp right at the beginning of the episode. <G>

Guess this one - it's relatively painless and easy.

"Teal'c's eager on the inside."

Cheers,

no idea, it am guessing it is Jack saying it to someone who is wondering why Teal'c is not looking enthusiastic. The last ep, 402, what ever it was called it might have been when Teal'c was looking apprehensive about going through the gate but i am not sure. um...

It was Jack to the kids in Learning Curve.

Try this one: "Friends? I don't even like you."

Hey Vera, I don't think it's Politics. If it's the one that's been mentioned, it opens with Hammond shredding papers. Jack walks into his office and Hammond says something along the lines of never realizing how much paperwork (or something) was involved in shutting down the project. Jack goes on to mention about giving up and Hammond tells him about his visiting Kinsey a couple of times and the last time he was physically thrown out of Kinsey's office. They also talk about how expensive the project is to run - just turning on the lights costs 7 million a year and that's when Jack goes into his littany of fund raiser things.

That's how Grasp opens before the credits.

Cheers,

Hi ML!
"Car wash" is definitely from the ep. Politics. It was dialog between Jack and Hammond (Hammond: "It costs nearly a billion dollars just to turn the lights on around here."
Jack: "How about a bake sale? Yard sale? Garage...?"
Hammond: "This is what I look like when I'm not laughing, Colonel." Jack: "Car wash?") before senator Kinsey's arrival to SGC.

Yes, that is the sequence of quotes but it is not in Politics but at the very start of Within The Serpent's Grasp. The episodes sort of run together from the end of politics to the start of WTSG. The first scene i am pretty sure of WTSG is the one we are talking about, inside Hammond's Office.

Hi Vera,
Don't want to appear to gang up on you, but I just checked the tape to be sure. (My memory being what it is sometimes ;-)) And it is from the beginning of Serpent's Grasp.

Cheers,

Hi guys!
Could be possible that in CR we have any different version? 'cause I'm sure that it was before Kinsey's arrival. And Kinsey was only in Politics.
I've checked my tapes and also several webpages (rdanderson.com - Mission database season 1, Compendium and also Philip's Sg-1 Screen Capture Library - sound clips to the ep. Politics) - and always that dialog was in the ep. Politics. So, I really dunno...

Ok, still leaves with us: "Friends? I don't even like you."

Nah, it is after he has closed the place down that they say it. (it why can't they run the place without funding...

Friends.. i don't even like you? i am guessing that is Jack to Daniel, possibly Show and Tell but not sure

Politics opens the conversation in the infirmary when Daniel get's back from the Alternate Reality and Maybourne shows up to tell them that Kinsey is on his way. The next scene is in the Briefing Room when Kinsey arrives and it all ends with Daniel's pronouncement of the impending Goa'uld invasion. Slow pan as our four heroes go to stand at the window and look down into the embarkation room.

Serpent's Grasp opens with the scene with 'car wash' in it.

Now for 'Friends, I don't even like you.' I can hear it, but I can't place it. Still thinking on that one. <G>

Cheers,
