Well, my two posters came today. They are pretty nice but not being a big fan of these type of posters I am probably going to:

a) offer 1 as a competition
b) auction the other one off.

Certainly helps. We are trying out new sponsors. They seem ok.

I get $1 per thousand times the banner is loaded. The image has to be fully displayed. I hear that there reporting is not 100% accurate, ie it is a bit lower than it should be. Anyway, i think we are getting about 1,000 or so page views per day but not all of those have banners on (like the 1 after posting). Anyway, there stats program is down as they are upgrading it so i have never seen any stats from it yet.

We also get an action bonus so if people click on it it helps! If the rate gets too low they will probably kick us off which is bad. If we gte a 1% action (ie 1 in 100 people click) then we get more money. As about 1 in 1000 images got clicked when we used the old comapny i doubt it will happen. Oh well.

It does help though, oh and definitely click on that little bensonworld image every couple of days.. thanks

Thanks for the support. Certainly helps .. once the site gets bigger we can actually get decent advertising that will both pay some more decent money and also have ads that are slightly more relevant than the useless untargeted one that amazing media displays!

Well I have seen one that is useful, but doesn't do me any good because I already have their software. It's stamps.com

There was another one I clicked on today but for the life of me I can't remember what it was. Mostly it's that one for Jot or whatever it is.

Yeah, jotter.com - they seem to be a pay to surf program. dodgy. I am guessing that the company is owned by the people (amazingmedia) who serve the adds.

Well when the stats get up i will see how it is doing. If not great will get another program. I need something like 1 million banner views per month to get serious advertisers. That would be what, 30,000 per day. At the moment i think we are on average around 1,500 per day. Hehe.

I feel like I load about 1500 of those banners a day. <G> Since you said that the banners have to fully load, I'm trying to wait before doing any clicking to change pages.

I find some of the banners quite interesting one time there was a Gay and Lesbian something or rather...... (I didn'yt click on it mind you)

I found sg1fans.com from the banners and quite like it!

those are the banner exchange banners (at the bottom) which i don't get paid for. It is the top banners that i do get paid for. Well i hope it is about that much but no idea yet as i still have not seen any stats and it is starting to annoy me that i havn't!

Okay so the adds that appear are just random? Have you like signed up to something and just add the tag in?

yes, although for this advertiser it was a long screening process. For another one i used that pays per click (usual) they keep on phoning my house asking me to come back lol!

This one however pays every time the banner is displayed, this is a lot harder to get but it works well. Dosen't pay that much, as we improve in size the payout rate will also increase --> more competitions, software etc.. cool.

Well it seems to be working a bit.. we havn't got any "red flags" this month. They way it seems to work is that we need a click through rate of something lik 0.5% so that only means for every 200 banners loaded we need a click. If it goes lower than that then.. oh oh... we starting getting money taken away.. and we don't want that.

but the good news is that if we get more clicks than 0.5% i get bonus money.. which is good!

We are making over $1 a day now which is good! Only 450 days till i can buy Links SQL then . Hehe..
