Catching Up

I started watching DS9 when it first came on the air. I've been a fan of ST since it first came out. However after moving to the DC/Metro area and getting a job as Store Manager for a Blockbuster I didn't have time to watch the show. Didn't have time to watch much TV at all, so I lost track. I'm trying to catch up now by watching the reruns and I'm finding myself caught up in the storylines again and the characters and I'm finding it great fun.

Hoping to talk with others about the show.

Two things that Ds9 has over the other Trek shows is story arcs and a host of recurring characters. This gives races and characters to develop more than what could have fitted in an episode. I often rewatch critical episodes in the series to do with the war.

I wish I could remember what was going on when I had to stop watching, but I can't it's just been too long ago. It was before Worf showed up in the series though.

The two episodes I watched this weekend were about Sisko at his father's restaurant and they are going to go out to try to find the orb. The new Dax shows up at the door.

The other one was when Jadzia was still on the show. I liked her and was disappointed when I did hear that she died. It was the one about the sailing ship that Sisko built.

I think i need a basic season spolier thing.

Like the main thrust of the various seasons. I have watched quite a lot of episodes, i would guess about 75 but often don't know the chronology. Someone want to start a thread with it?

What kind of thread? A list of the episodes or something. That I can try and do, but I can't do much commenting on anything except for the first season.

like for Stargate:

Season 1:

Fight goa'uld a bit, meet the nox (and other people), defeat Apohpis when he tries to attack earth

Season 2:

blad de blah.

etc

for ds9 want to know when and who at war with basically.., who controls station all that sort of thing but very brief. Just so that if i see an episode i can say.. arr season 5.

Okay I just watched the continuation episode that I started watching it seems like a month ago. It was when Sisko has left DS9 to go to his father's restaurant. I take it that the wormhole suddenly disappeared for some reason. The second episode has Sisko meeing the new Dax - Ezri, Worf is trying to get Jadzia into whatever, and Colonel whatshername is blockading the Romulans from some planet where they've set a medical base. In the end Sisko finds an orb that brings the wormhole back. Where is that in the general scheme of things? Season?
