Found myself uttering the line'I pride myself on my deductive reasoning' yesterday,it impressed the person for all of 10 seconds, but caused me to smile for the rest of the day.I realised I use 'Jackisums' alot in my day, usually in my thoughts. You know, the mouth goes'Really?'and the mind goes'Ya think?'
So am I the only mad woman out here,or do the rest of you 'Quote Stargate'(or any other show for that matter?)

Well have to say i used "Ya Think" before stargate. It love that type of sarcasm (not sure if that is the right word) but yeah, i use that.

Havn't ever said "good morning campers" yet though. I find myself using far far far far far far to many of Chandler's quotes from friends though.

Ya, think? is also one of my faves. But when Season 4 started and I saw UPGRADES, well Hammond's line, "I thought the devices were supposed to enhance them physically, not make them stupid!" was taken over by me.
Said this about my son and the telephone, "I thought the telephone was supposed to enchance our lives, not make him chatty!" Typical teenager, he does not get off. Thank heavens for call waiting! but my really new fave is "I have nothing to appologize for!" Said by Teal'c in Upgrades... love it and use it!

My son, Asgard, uses the Urgo lines, "ME!ME!ME!ME!ME!ME!" When he wants to get the dog to bark or simply to annoy me!

guilty . . . I am surrounded at work by overdressed stylmongers (many of whom, by the way, ARE snakes . . .)!

It's kind of fun to see the 'ism's used on the show by our favorite characters. Makes them seem more real and makes a bond between them and us.

'Ya thank? ;)

The first one I noticed was "Oh, fer cryin' out loud." which has been a constant in this house for years.

Cheers,

I notice my son and I have been using the expression "Sweet" for a while now too. But he doesn't get the OZ references. He doesn't know Australia is nick named OZ>

Yeah, I find myself doing that, but as no one near me is as obsessed as I am, no one notices.

I've done this for a lot of other things too without noticing... after I've read a book I sometimes start thinking like them... um, is that too weird?
(Ya think?)

"Sweet" is quite normal for the youth of Oz to say.

I have said "Ya think" about five times today.

I always find myself saying "want a little piece of advice major" (from pilot) and instead of saying "get reassed to NASA that's where all the actions gonna be" i say 'advice'! i especially do this to my brother, it pisses him off real bad!

From the movie- "Give my regards to King Tut, asshole" - say that a lot too!

jsc! what is your son's real name? we know its not Asgard :)

Sweet. You should pride yourself on deductive reasoning skills, ya think?

okay another quote story-

recently a girl overdosed on drugs or something, my mum was asking how old she was, my brother said 17 and then my dad said 16... and then for some reason without thinking i said "My report reads ten thousand" :) its from the Stargate movie!

i don't actually say the quotations out loud. it's all in my head. then i get all giggly when i think of it. Now i'm a well known psycho

WHOA! the well known psycho is "the Bride of Ra"? I TOLD YOU GUYS HE WAS COMING BACK! THAT'S THE REAL REASON THAT RICHARD ANDERSON HAD TO TAKE OVER - THE FIRST CREW DIDN'T REALLY GET RID OF RA! I KNEW IT!!! AND HE'S ALREADY SENT THE FIRST SCOUTING PARTY TO LOOK US OVER!

O.k. never mind. Just got a little carried away . . . you may now return to your local station.

Ah, nonono! Ra scares me, will have nightmares!
do say 'fer cryin out loud' when f---- comes to mind and first letter escapes. Good cop out!

I think "things are calming UP!" To quote a certain hansome Jaffa.
