Yes! I really like "Upgrades" alot! one of my favorite of the new season.

that whole restaurant scene was a scream, especially the looks on sam's, jack's and danny's faces just before they get into the fight.
personally i'd like to see more of them getting out of the mountain and hanging around earth here and there.

Yes, but they need to do that with Teal'c! Would love to seee more off them off base and on this world as in PoNR and the Curse!

gee, wouldn't it be nice if we saw some of SG1's "social" / civie life outside the SGC ....... besides in our wonderful fan fic that is, not that there's nething wrong with that

There's a thread I started, but I didn't name it very well (something like "just a thought"), about the house they showed Sam living in this season. It was completely different than I thought she would be in: a loft with a lot of space, computer stuff. It was a very . . . well, the best explanation I can give is that one member said it was possible that it was Jacob's home before he blended with Selmac. It's very . . . geez, what's the word? Almost Victorian with lots of STUFF in it.

I thought the place they created for Daniel Jackson's apartment was perfect.

I liked Sam's house. But it is not suited to her character. I'd like to see more of Jack's house. That would be cool. And more of their personal lives.

I totally agree, I would've imagined a very different house for her, but maybe she just wants her house to be like an escape, with barely anything to remind her of work?

I thought the house was okay, but somehow not her. As for not wanting it to remind her of work, I get the feeling she is nearly always at work, with her hands in many outside projects (like the motorcycle, heh). Jack has made fun of this tendency to never go home, I believe. And in that episode Texane mentions (Ascension), Sam was forced to go home and she was bored out of her mind.

So her home may in fact be Jacob's old home, and she is just never there to really redecorate it to her tastes. After all, she's got all she really needs for her hobbies and interests at the SGC. Hence, the boredom at home, due to the complete and utter lack of things for her to do.

And to get back on topic, I loved Upgrades! I too would love to see them outside the SGC more, in the general public. Scenes like that are always among my favorites.
