Tealc's larval goa'uld, since he's been with Sg1.Have they been trying to find a way to get rid of it or they are waiting for someone else to do it, like the Torkas or the Tollans, etc?

We know it is possible, Kendra had it done to her using Thor's Hammer did she not. Why then do we not just ask the Asgard to do it for Teal'c ?

Is it different what the host does when mature as opposed to when not? If mature does not take over immune system (kendr'a was a goa'uld not a jaffa wastn't she?) so perhaps that won't work for Teal'c ???

Larvae gou'ld (from the queen) incubate seven years within a Jaffa before they need a new Goa'uld host, and the Jaffa needs a new larva, or he dies.

Sounds like Teal'c is good to go for a few more seasons! And what good scenery to host that little snake!

Let us hope they can rectify the immune system problems before they remove the symboite! Would like to keep that "hunky scenery" around!

Besides, aren't there a zillion of them on the original planet that we saw on "The First Ones"? I knew we should have kept Queen Hathor around for something.

I keep wondering if they are the same species or a subspecies and what the difference between them as subspecies would be! I know, I am strange!

kendra was a host so she could live without a aymbiote just like sam lived without jolinar.
in the case of teal'c. junior is him immune system since if his immune system was active his body would eventually reject and attack junior. that's why teal'c can't live more than a few hours without the little bugger.
maybe the asgard can change things, noone's ever asked. the only time we've ever seen someone un-jaffa'd was jack in hathor when the sarc. fixed his newly etched pouch and healed him.
knowing what little i do about medicine, i think removing junior is beyond the sgc's abilities. it would be up to someone like the asgard or tollan to do so.
why they haven't...cause it would totally wreck the plot and his character and turn our nice strong, immune to most everything jaffa back into a regular joe and eliminate those nice things like in foothold, broca divide etc. where him immunity is a major plot point.
just like tng folk never quite humanized data.

As an opposite to the host/Jaffa immunity point, one of the reasons that oops, (mid-season 2 spoiler)

when Jacob is proposed as a host for Selmac, it is because he/she will be able to cure his cancer; similarly in certain episodes when he may get injured later, "Selmac can cure it"
