Airing times

This section is too quiet. OK, what about airing times in your country? Can you watch SG-1 on TV in your country and if so which season is airing on?
Add season, time and channel (and country).

Let me be the first to start.
In the Czech Republic we can't watch SG-1 at present. Season 3 was finished at the beginning of October. Now we're having a "little pause" (a much too long if you ask me ). Season 4 will start probably at the beginning of the next year. I can't wait for season 4.

The UK is showing Series 4 on Sky one, wednesdays at 8.00, we are on about episode 7 i would guess will go the whole way through straight.

I think our free channel, channel 4 is playing series 2 at 11.00 am !

This thread is ancient! Let me update it for the English people. Sky One has just finished S4, is repeating S3 tomorrow, on Monday, 9:00-10:00. Channel 4 is about halfway thru S2 I think.

Does anyone know if Spain is showing Stargate?!

Hi again Vera!

I've already told you that season three just finished here in austria or rather in germany (I have to watch a german channel because here in austria Stargate is not on the air).
Season four will start here in fall they said. It's on the air every wednesday (at the moment also on mondays, but only the old seasons), 20.15 to 21.15!
On RTL2. Checked? Okay, that was confusing:
Wednesday on RTL2: 20.15 - 21.15

Stargate is not airing right now in France but we've already seen S3. At first it was shown on Sundays from 1900 to 1955 but for S3 they aired it on Thursdays prime time! from 2050 to 2230 ( 2 eps in a row). It was shown on M6... I just hope they'll air S4 soon.

I hope they'll air season 4 soon. I mean really as soon as possible. I can't wait. But I'm afraid it'll be not sooner than in the middle of this year.

Speaking about prime time... In CR Stargate was aired every day except weekend (that was great) but in the afternoon usually from 1500!!! It is really great time for watching TV, isn't it?! I only hope that S4 will be aired in the evening. Stargate deserves a better time for airing and not that stupid early afternoon!
And the same situation is with Star Trek (Voyager) - Fridays from 16.15. On the Czech TV we can usually watch sci-fi series in the early afternoon or in the late night (with small exceptions) .

Almost every Scifi-Series is aired here in the evening from 8.15 to 9.15 pm!
X-Files, Stargate, 7Days, OuterLimits,...
No, Outer Limits is aired after 7Days form 9.15 to 10.15 pm the same day.
Only the new Voyager episodes are aired in the weekends on Saturday.

Yes, I really have to say the airing times are great here.
Mo: 8.15 to 9.15 X-Files on Pro7
9.15 to 10.15 Stargate(old) on RTL2
Di: 8.15 to 10.15 Emergency room (2 new episodes)on Pro7
Mi: 8.15 to 9.15 Stargate (momently old) on RTL2

So you may think I'm always watching TV.

I usually don't watch TV so much - there's nothing much for watching.
Mo: South Park - it starts about 2300.
We: Komisar (sp.?) Rex - from 2000.
Fri: ST Voyager - from 1615 and Visitor (dunno original name ot that one) - usually from 2230 or so.
Oh, and I forgot The Sentinel (Mo-Th) - it's re-run of S4 and I must tape it, 'cause it is aired after midnight.

BUT I OFTEN RE-WATCH MY TAPES WITH SG-1 AND MACGYVER.

I have to say I loved Moser more. Brandtner or rather Gedeon Burkart, his real name, is a little bit stiff I think.
He's at the 'Opernball' every year but I never saw him. Tobias Moretti, who played Moser, is here in Bregenz at the moment. His girlfriend comes from the same (almost) place as I.
He's makes direction of an oper 'Giovanni' in Bregenz. that's why he's here at the moment.
I think he even looks better than Burkardt.

The airing times in the UK, on Channel 4, are weird. Sky puts it's series 4 on at 8pm, but Ch4 put their ones on at 5. This leads to editing not nescessarily required for the age of viewers, merely for the timing, and it is a generally bad time for those wishing to view SG-1 in peace. Any thoughts?

Yes. I HATE CHANNEL FOUR! They edit it much to much, so it'll hardly worth taping, and they should just put it on l8r. Altho Sky One's not wonderful, 'cos they edit as well. Altho they get new series' pretty quick...

It's hard to decide who's better.
I loved Moser. Tobias Moretti was great as Moser. It must be very difficult for Gedeon Burkardt (sp.?) to play Brandtner after Moretti. Especially in such a popular TV series. But, I think that I like him more than Moretti.

I like him too! First I was sceptical, but he did a great job. But I liked Tobias more. I'm still watching almost every movie he makes. He's great!!!

I hope Ch4 get right onto S3 when 2's finished. Didn't they just make you mad when the cut it without warning after 'Thors Chariot' back in October?
Lucky you with Sky, I'd be totally useless as far as the plot went though, as they were on series 4.
