Your favorite character (Terry Pratchett)

Well I can't decide between Death and Carrot.
Death is something that knows a lot but virtually nothing about humanity.
"I meant," said Iplsore bitterly, "what is there in this world that makes living worthwhile?" Death thought about it. "CATS," he said eventually, "CATS ARE NICE."
And Carrot knows a lot and manages to make everyone like him. He cares about people without even thinking about it.

Oh this is a tough one,but it has to be Death(sorry DEATH) He cracks me up,also the luggage comes snapping hard on his heels!

I admit that DEATH is my personal fav (but so many wacky characters to chose from). Never has the subject of death and dying been funnier. DEATH as Santa - "COWER,BRIEF MORTALS,HO HO HO"

Oh, I love the Dibblers, all of em. And Vimes. And Rincewind. Oh, my fave? Dunno, can't choose!

A fave character thats a tough one. i like death hes just so funny. but ive always been a big fan of the witchs, espically nanny ogg, her out look on life is really strange. i really can't decide who i like best.
who came up with this q neway?
Stargal

I think it's SGPflughaupt's thread.

My faves are varied. I like Vimes, Angua, and Granny Weatherwax for the 'good side'. The villians would be: Wonse, the Vampyres, Queen of Faries/elves (Which one it was), but most recently I like Pin and Tulip.

Ooo decisions, decisions.
Can I say the entire City Watch are my favourites?

Especially Carrot with his dwarfish war cry " nee naw nee naw!" That cracks me up.
And Nobby - disqualified from the human race for pushing.
Just all of them :D

Definitly, those two are such a pair. Nither quite lived up to expectations, I rather thought.

I thought his tape collection was really strange ;)

Crowley an angel who didn't so much fall as saunter gently downwards.

As in, Crowley wasn't totally demon-like just as Aziraphale wasn't angelic all the time.

that is why i like em.. .the 'humanity.' As i have said over in Buffy and about other things humanity ie being 'odd' or role reversals are my fabvourite.

Yeah, I can agree with that.
I like 'human' stuff like that, particularly in SF I read. But we've surely had this conversation elsewhere Skip, so I'll leave it there.

I think it'd have to be DEATH
i mean, u've got to be crazy to be the ultimate reality and work in a kitchen...
Mind u, the Luggage is great too. My fave book's probably Hogfather, especially the bit where he feeds the beggars and has an argument with Albert about who stole the food!

'SQUEAK'!!:D

OK, other characters. Huh, William De Worde in 'Truth' wasn't all that bad, though he did think that he was better then the Watch.
What about best bad guys?
