Does this sound familiar?

The Stone families flatcat has 8 kittens 37 days into their journey. Everyone loves them. Everyone pets them and caters to them. Everyone loves to hear them purr when they are petted. Everyone loves to feed them and they are hungry little things.

Sixty four days later, the kittens had kittens ...

Just how many kittens can one spaceship hold?

But they're adorable! I've always wanted a flatcat. I have some regular cats, the sort with two eyes and four legs, but I always thought that a flatcat would be a neat pet. Ideal for TV watchers.
 
I always found it strange - Heinlein's cats dont purr, they "buzz".
