Have any of you been to the exhibition that is currently doing the rounds? Is it any good? Where is it at the moment.

Hiya ..:)

We had a Star Trek exhibit here in Australia not so long ago it was awesome they had the transporter pad from the TOS and Captain Picards big oak desk from his ready room.
Also on display were the costumes and weaponary from all the different series as well very detailed masks of Morn and a Jem Hadar amoung others.
I did enjoy it but it was very expensive to visit and far far too short for my liking.

Im not sure if its the same one you are talking about CaptCrash, and I have no idea where it is now. lol!

Science Museum.

I don't know if this is the one Capt'n Crash meant, but I just went to the exhibition on at the Science Museum in South Kensington, London, called FEDERATION SCIENCE.
I went with my kids, and it is a bit pricey, and boring for very little ones. My kids don't even watch Star Trek but they enjoyed it. We went for the rest of the museum anyway, I forgot that it was on at the moment.
My daughter taught a computer to recognise her voice, and we spent a lot of time playing with a heat-sensitive close circuit television camera. The Transporter mock-up is excellent too. Don't go out of your way to visit it, but if you are site-seeing in London before the end of April 2001, put it on your list. The Science Museum and Natural History Museum are a must anyway.
PS. There was another exhibition on a few years ago which was just props, and this is much better than that.

Where is it now?

The FEDERATION SCIENCE exhibition which was on at the science museum has moved to a new location, Newcastle upon Tyne's Hancock Museum. It opened there on 12th May and will stay until 9th September 2001.

It was created by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry in the US. All of the Federation Science's intriguing and innovative exhibits have been moved, including the interactive bridge, Sickbay and transporter rooms displays.

In 1997 the Hancock also hosted the Star Trek: The Exhibition (the other one that I saw at the Science Museum).

The Hancock Museum is situated at Barras Bridge (near the university), Haymarket, Newcastle. Telephone 1919 222 7418.

No doubt it will also travel on somewhere else after Newcastle,( I think the other one went to Edinburgh and Birmingham.)
