Hehe, I live in Texas. William Sadler plays this sheriff very well. I can name half a dozen nearby counties that contain the boot-wearin, mischeivious grinnin', cowboy-hat wearin' version of Jim Valenti. Anyone else notice this trend in your own local versions of the "law" ?

Gun slingin sheriffs

LOL Poe!

Well being in New Zealand, we dont have Sheriff types, we have the local Police mostly and they wear the traditional Blue, no funny boots or straw chewing goes on :)

We have the head cop dude/dudette, sorry dont know the terminology! But you know the Police person in charge! hehe but no Sheriffs! :)

hehe nothing like that in the UK. Even the "country bobby" is far removed from the 1970's 1980's things you might have seen.

Green Mile

Hi, slight change of subject but did anyone see William Sadler in the film 'The Green Mile'? he wasn't in it for long but when I saw him in the opening credits it immediately reminded me of 'Roswell'.
