i've found 2 newsgroup , one is a 'binary' group, means there are also graphics and other stuff in it and a 'normal' newsgroup with 'text only'

binary: alt.binaries.stargate-sg1

normal: alt.tv.stargate-sg1

P.S.: for some apophis fans i've postes pics for about 1 meg

yup those are the two i know of, don't think there are any regional ones either like a uk.stargate type one.

Corzafa have you put in a request for it? My ISP didn't carry a couple I wanted to look at and when I asked around found that they had a web page for you to request newsgroups to be added to their lineup. It took them about a week to add them once I sent the request in.
