Texane - it was HELEN Hunt, not Linda Hunt.

Linda Hunt is the really tiny lady from the David Lynch Dune movie (she's been in other stuff too but that's all I can think of)....
It is really cracking me up to think of the Hanks on that desert island pining for the shortest lady in showbiz :rolly2: :rolly2: :rolly2:

I noticed him in the x-files a bunch of times, also spotted him in the Invisisble Man, which wasn't so bad a series even though it's being cancelled...

yeh he does... I can't think of anything else he is in, but I am sure that imdb will have all the relevant info.

I don't understand why they never brought him back - i mean in the alternate reality episode, I thought at the beginning that this would have been the perfect opportunity to get him back in the show - I thought he was great, kinda cut from the same mould as jack, without the wisecracks (well not as many anyway )

You're right - now she's playing a judge on "The Practice." And Helen Hunt is in "Play It Forward."
