Brightness Reef (David Brin)

Well i read the 1st book from the 2nd trilogy. I have to say it wastn't nearly as good as the books from the first trilogy and it took me a bit of effort to get through it and then to have the complete non-ending at the end made me not that happy. Still, i am looking forward to reading the next book and hopefully that will help clear it up a bit more.

Anyone else read this book, what did you think?

I liked the first trilogy Sundiver, Star Tide Rising and The Uplift War very much and it's concept where every sent intent Race except mankind was uplifted to sentience. It's very interesting universe that Brin has created . For some reason had no urge to pick up Brightness Reef .

It took me several tries to get into it but once I did I enjoyed it and the rest of the second series.
