Is anyone doing anything exciting for New Year's.

Anyone going to the Harbour and doing the be seen, get crushed thing?

As for me, on New Year's Day, I'll be having lunch with the in-laws in Gunnedah (about an hour west of Tamworth). Sounds like a re-run of Christmas but this time my husband will be there too instead of working, so that's a nice change.

It'll be soooo gosh darn golly HOT that we'll fall down and sleep, get up and go for a swim, then go for a walk in the early evening looking for koalas (Gunnedah has a HUGE population of the things) then we'll come home.

As for New Year's Eve, well I'm old (over 30) so I'll be at home probably ignoring all the hoo-ha.

This is the real new century and new millenium. All that stuff last year was just a practice run.

it's finally nice to know of a place that someone else mentions- Tamworth, everyone knows Tamworth!

anyway, i hope to have a better New Year than last Year (i was in bed by 9 with glandular fever, had to have a blood test at about 8.... erk!)
so our family is just having a family thing, with all the usuals (including alcohol!)
i will probably be on the boards after midnight just so i can arub it in to all those yankees and poms, that we are in the new year and they are not!

Yeah, the Yanks think they're so great. We get to everything FIRST, before them! YESYESYESYESYES!!!!!!

NZ comes in before us of course but most of them live in OZ anyway so NZ doesn't really count anyway. Besides, NZ is just another state/territory/protectorate of the great and powerful Oz, isn't it?

The new millenium dawns first in Australia as is only befitting.

:) ;) :)

yeah well i reckon NZ is just a state of Aus too,

it also works the other way; yankess will be the last people in the old millenium!

Always thought they were way behind the rest of the world :)

And here it is 9.15 pm on 31.12.00, new year's eve ........ and I'm here.

I don't have a life.

Well, a bit later say in an hour, I'm going to a party which should be pretty choice to welcome in the new year :D

There'll be music, dancing and of course, drinking ;) not too much though. :)

Oh well, I spose I should go and get ready now hey :D

Happy new years all :)

i went to a party last night, but it doesnt seem like new years though.

well i have recently got back from a meal in london at tji fridays with my sister and a friend from uni and some of his brothers sitester and related family. really good fun although as i was driving no alcohol.. shame.

Well I had an okay time last night, there was this huge palava though and everything got messy around 2am. Oh Well :)

Which reminds me

Happy New Years All :D:D:D:D 2001 is here

well i had a couple of glasses of wine and watched 'quiz show'... boring hey?

Well, I can honestly say that I totally agree with you JAD, it does not seem like 2001 and its the 2nd here already

totally, same as digital tv its here but no one can tell or see it!

if you visit ur local radio rentals you can now view dig tv :)

they reckon that normal TV is going to be phased out by sbout 2010

if you wait that long to get a digital one, maybe they won't be so expensive :) I know I'll be waiting a bit :D
