.... Although announced simply as a sequel to the 1994 Roland Emmerich film, it's understood the new stargate film will be overseen by Brad Wright's successful TV outfit. It's also assumed that it will be shot on the elaborate standing set in Vancouver and will feature the TV cast although at this point they have not been official approached. As the SG-1 cast and crew will be tied up between February and Novemeber 2001 shooting Season 5, any movie involving them would have to be shot after then.
