I just rewatched this ep. yesterday and have one question.
How could the computer accept Cromwell's autorization code?
He wasn't a member of SGC. I was under the impression that only two persons - gen. Hammond and his 2IC have that access (or maybe someone from Join Chiefs... dunno).
Any suggestions, theories, anything?

maybe when cromwell was ordered in he was given the codes. to the outside the sgc was not communicating so, well given the history of the place, it wouldn't be too far of a stretch to assume all inside might be dead or vanquished, which would leave the rescuers at a loose end if they got in...so cromwell would have been given the codes to a) blow the place up if it'd been over run by aliens or b) to dis-arm something like if everyone was killed by some virus or something.
just an idea

It could be true, but I think that it'll more logical to delete all the present codes first. In that case the computer would accept only new Cromwell's codes but not Jack's ones. So...dunno.

true but...well as funny as computers are going in and deleting them could create more problems than it fixes...or they could have but the time lag would mean it wouldn't work
