For all ya. Sooo, good and bad for all? I liked, uh... her name beagan with B and F'nor's lady... uh.. too long ago...

Yep, Brekke's the woman, it is so sad when her queen dies. Hang on, Skip, myself and others where having a 'death' conversation in the 'Robinton' thread...
So, my faves are, gee, practically all fire-lizards, although I'd feel sorry for the one owned by, ahh, that Southern Hold man, nasty guy, can't remember his name, hated Jaxon going off with his sister. Menolly's fair would get my vote purely because 'Dragonsong/Dragonsinger', are such nice books to read (happy endings). You can probably tell I haven't read Pern in a while in an attempt to 'broaden my horizons'.
Yeah, you all cry, what horizons can be broader then the SF and Fantasy! I know, I know, I'm a victim of my own insecurity, I question why I read SF, and promptly try not to. This is, as you can blatantly see, futile.
Dragons, huhh, Ramoth for her rider's attitude, and rebeliousness, um, Canth 'cos he doesn't get a look in as much as the bronzes like Menementh (See, it's a good job reading doesn't require pronouncing names correctly!)

Ahhhh, love em all! Yup, it was Brekke, I was just drawing a blank. I just loved her and her queen. Oh and... Moreta and the older lady... oh so long ago!! I have senile dementia before I get a driver's licence!!!

older lady?

Are you, perchance, referring to Leri? The previous Weyrwoman of Fort during Moreta's tenure. Yes, a sad business, all that.

My personal favorite dragon was definitely Ramoth. I'd say with or without Lessa, but since the dragon and the rider are a package deal, I'll be taking Lessa, too! LOL

But, seriously, I really liked Lessa's character. She had SO much to work through. The only thing I really found odd was how she managed to just ditch the whole drudge persona once she staked her claim.

Could it of been because, well, she was the rightful heir, the 'pure blood', and things like that?
Besides, she couldn't of adapted to being a drudge so lightly, and not lost her ability to control the beats in the Hold, and influence the dragons as well. That kind of thing would take guts, not something she was short of.

Yes, it could've been that... that she was seething over the insult to her family and her Hold all that time. I imagine she'd have had to alter her features rather frequently. It's amazing that none of the other drudges recognized her during the early years. Or did she influence that, too? Or, were they actually hiding her, since they knew who she was and that her very existence was in danger if they didn't hide her, not to mention their own the longer she was hidden? Fax was a very ruthless man...I doubt that he would spare the messenger (or anyone else involved) if he'd discovered Lessa before the Search.

I'd probably have to choose Mnemeth/F'Lar as my fav characters although i did like Ruth (not Jaxom as much) with him being born in the second book i skipped the two books about Menolly and the harpers to read his story, needless to say i did get a bit confused!
