.............for a laval gou'ld to heal a jaffa? Why does
some of the jaffas died after being shot by the Ta'uri's
weapons? Surely, their sybimots(sp) should save them. (its plain to anyone, I am bored right now!)

it's b/c the damage is too extensive for the symbiote to heal.
what i dont get is the fact that they even die. bullets penetrate jaffa armour?

oh well, i haven't seen that ep. but maybe it's the type of injury? how was teal's tortured?

they used the ribbon device, and those goa'uld pain sticks of theirs...i noticed it looked like his pouch was sewn shut...to keep junior in?
maybe it depends upon the severity of the injury to the worm...

course it could be the same reason zats sometimes send folks unconscious to the ground...and sometimes leaves them nice & aware...it's called plot device

Ignoring the fact it is a plot device;

Bullet wounds, especially larger calibre can do significant damage to internal organs and so on: I would imagine that something like a virus which only requires souped up immune-system to heal is quite easy for a larvae. Major tissue regeneration is more difficult... Which could help jusitfy how they can heal cancer!
