Has anyone read Vurt, Pollen or Automated Alice.

I read Pollen first and I think it's the best. They are all very weird though.

'Think Borges crossed with Philip Larkin on acid and you've got some idea of the power of it's very English enchantment.' Arena

'A wild psychedelic vision...I doubt that there will be a more joyously inventive book published in Britain this year.' Manchester Evening News.

Although I am only resurrecting this thread to outdo Baylor, I do really like Vurt and Pollen. Couldnt get into Automated Alice.

The current edition of New Scientist magazine is asking for examples of “Sinus Fiction and Fantasy” where sinus ailments are dominantly central to the plot. I immediately thought of Pollen.

Not SF, but I think the main character in Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie has sneezing issues.
