Wheel of Time

HEY! Who spelled that!! ;) That could be the reason no one's here... argh.

For some *strange* reason, I'd thought to find some people posting here!!! How long has this been here? Who's the moderator? Who started it? Is there somewhere else I should be looking to chat about the Wheel of Time here? Argh... maybe I should just see what I can do to post on my lists that this place even exists! LOL

Anyway, please (no, really!), PLEASE start posting!!

Which reminds me... has anyone (everyone?) read Winter's Heart?

I started reading the Wheel of Time years ago when I was still at school.

Is Winter's Heart the eighth book, ninth book, or something? If it's the latest, then yes, I've read it. That Robert Jordan can sure spin a good tale. :p

Hiya!

WH is, I believe, the ninth in the series...with, of course, no sign of stopping any time soon! LOL

Thanks for stopping by, btw!

And, yes, RJ sure can!

Anyone know how to promote this place on email lists?? Oy, I'm feeling a trifle on the low (blood-sugar) side tonight! :)

Whoa, cool, a WoT forum! Glad I discovered this place :coolyello

Hi, my name's Saine, and I'm a huge WoT addict, who tried to pass the time between books reading the *ugh!* Fallon Trilogy (only read them if you are desperate!). I'll try to stop around here often :smokin:

I see you're a member of the Harper fanclub, too! :) Well, I'm a primary member of the Tyr fanclub, so you'll have to forgive me sometimes! LOL

Anyway...which is your fav WOT book? I'm leaning towards WH or maybe FOH. It's pretty close between those two. WH because so much actually gets DONE. FOH because it's just a goooood story!

And, yeah...the Fallon stories are NOT what we're used to!!!

Hi. I started reading the WoT series years and years and years ago! It's just too frustrating to read book 6 then wait a year for book 7 etc... I'm waiting till he's all finished, then I'll start over with book 1.

Yeah, I tend to re-read the series a couple times each year. It's just hard to find anything else as interesting and well-written!

hmmm....sure is quiet around here. I have yet to read the last one but that's because I haven't finished rereading them from when the last last one came out:rolly2:

Anyway, I thought I'd see if anyone wanted to chat. Not having read WH I think I have to sat that so far my favorite has been The Shadow Rising I think, I didn't like FOH much because it didn't have my favorite character, Perrin, in it hardly at all which annoyed me to no end.

I just ordered the prologue, and I can't wait for Crossroads of Twilight much longer, i'll just have to read the series again for the 9th time

Um, yeah.... I hate to break this to ya, but RJ has engineered a delay with Tor to release the books in the US (and most likely the UK, as well) in early January.

Hopefully, this means the book will be better written, not so rushed, etc.

It's hard waiting, I know... but, you can always check out Dragonmount or Wotmania for further info. (see messages above for links)

I thought it was being released in November sometime? At least that's what it said when I went into Hastings the other day.

Yep, we all thought that much... however, Tor and RJ have decided that, with the book tour they've got going, the book will be better written if RJ has more time.

I gotta agree with ysm, and there's just so many times you can re-read the series to remember what happened before. I might re-read the whole series one RJ finishes the series but I keep hearing how nothing happens in the later books. I think I got as far as A Crown of Swords and I was pretty bored even then.

I do remember being totally emersed in the series when I was in HS 8 years ago.
