Well, the near-death thing shouldn't surprise anyone by now... this is the "season of death" for Farscape.
As for Crichton being smarter, remember that he was always smart... he does have a doctorate in quantum mechanics. Does the physical brain carry knowledge beyond the grave? Could Crichton actually get smarter because a small chunk of Jool's cousin's brain was implanted into his? Or does the knowledge only exist because of the person? Is the knowledge gone once the person dies? Who knows?
Of course, Aeryn and D'Argo notice that John isn't quite himself... they are his closest companions. And I'm glad everyone here noticed that he was a bit too trusting of the Pathfinders... his desire to find a wormhole home is blinding him to dangers posed by beings like them.
Makes me wonder if they'll come after Moya's crew later, though. :errrr:
Yeah, I loved Zhaan and Rygel's interaction after Crichton broke his nose... "you don't have a nose, Guido." Kind of an extreme response by John... kind of scared me. :erm: I guess the lesson there is
don't get between John and his wormhole research. I doubt Rygel will make that mistake again. But his revenge was brilliant: send Jool after him. Too bad he didn't know she's completely inept in the use of violence. :laugh2:
I saw what happened in part two coming, though... didn't you? There were enough clues here and in the first two of the season, so... :crying:
