I have never watched an episode of Andromeda. It's a story about a man frozen in time, awakened years later and finds adventure in some future existence, correct?
However, my perception is that producers are finding concepts developed by Gene Roddenberry which these days could be notes written on a napkin. I think of John Lennon's album out-takes used post partum and called a Beatles song.
Am I treading into the obvious when I point out the name and character "Dylan Hunt" was the hero in a TV movie produced by Gene Roddenberry which aired on CBS in 1973 called "Genesis II?" It was about a hero frozen in time who finds adventure in some future existence.
I work in televsion and read four trade magazines a week and have never seen a reference to this TV movie and I believe, two TV sequels ("Earth II" and "Strange New World") all airing in the '70s.
Help me.
