Herc movie?

Ok... who wants to see a new Herc movie? And if so... what would you want it to be about?

(This post based on the rumor mill which keeps claiming there is one in the works... even though Kevin Sorbo shows no interest, that I've heard of, in doing one.)

Me, personally, I'd like to see a "Day in the Life" of Herc & Iolaus.

Plots? Who needs plots?!

Me! I would give my eye teeth to see a Hercules movie and it would have to have Iolaus in it. (Yeah I'm a member of the clan denial when it comes to this. ).

A Day In The Life would be good. Like the Xena episode only longer.

LOL. They never did a Day in the Lifesque Herc ep... did they? I haven't seen them all, but I think I've seen about 80% of them and I don't remember one.

And yes, Iolaus is must. Did you see the recent Xena ep Michael was in? He played a modern day reporter who goes back to ancient Greece to get the inside scoop on Xena. Very, very funny.

Did Iolaus ever come back to life or did Iolaus 2 always remain?

I've got a confession to make.

After the death of Iolaus and the introduction of Iolaus 2, I stopped watching. The show lost something for me when they did that. I'm trying to catch them on reruns but haven't seen them yet so to answer your question ... I don't know.

I would love to see a new movie of Hercules, as for the plot. Anything, I just love to see Hercules and Iolaus again.

Hey Peachy,

I mean a 6th Herc movie with a big budget on the big screen... I want to go to my local movie theater and watch it! No TV movies here... no way... I want the big, big screen...

I'm glad to hear Iolaus 1 finally came back... so what happened to Iolaus 2 when he came back and how did he come back... if you don't mind taking the time to let me know.

I missed it while it originally aired in the US & now I'm in the UK and it doesn't look like ch. 5 will ever air the rest of them .

as for iolous2 he fell in love with a mermaid, king of the sea's daughter (king triton i think) and he went to live in
the sea with her. not sure on the details for iolous 1
coming back, herc kept seeing him reflected in water, and one time iolous reached out to herc, and he pulled him through, sorry thats all i can remember...peachy

I do happen to know and I cant for the life of me remember just where I saw it ....could have been Kevin Sorbo on 'E' celebrity profile or one of the recent chats he did on msn but Kevin did say he would be very interested in a big budget movie and he would reprise his role as Hercules and don those god awful leather waffle weave pants for it.

So there is hope that maybe just maybe we might get a feature film I think they however they would cash in on the Xena name and make it a Hercules and Xena movie ...:0why not cash in on both lots of fans it would make sense to them to double their money.

I'd just love to see Kevin on the big screen in ANY role.

Cashing in on both KS and LL would probably be the way to go for a big screen movie as long as they don't do what they did with the series and forget that Herc even existed after Xena came out. (Don'kill me ewlyn. )

The only real problem with combining the two is that they'd have to go back and do a story which would have taken place early in both series because of the 25 year jump in Xena... or else just not have Iolaus in it or have him very old.

I really dislike the 25 year Xena jump... that was such a bad move from TPTB...

TPTB have never cared much for the time line anyway and consistancies in both series were almost non -existant , with both shows finished now, they could just pick it up at any point really

I would just love an alternate world movie the possibilities to play with there are endless and I have heard Kevin Sorbo mention on a number of occassions how much he enjoyed playing the bad dark parts, :blush:
I guess after years of being the hero he wants to stretch his talents and do something different so who can blame him.

The Herc folks wouldn't know about the 25 year thing unless they followed Xena and like Stripe says, the way TPTB worked without any consistency at all, it wouldn't really have that much affect. IMHO. We'd all just think it was another one of 'those'.

Gee... would that be someone we know? LOL

I don't think I could watch a Herc movie without Iolaus... it would be like Xena with out Gabby, Scully without Mulder, etc. You need both of them to get that dynamic which makes it so successful.

I agree Ewlyn, even though I am a die hard Hercules fan I too cant see a movie having all that much impact without Iolaus the happy go lucky side kick.

It was the chemistry between these two that brought and still does bring fans from all over the world together, its an amazing phenomenan that I havent seen since Star Trek people took over sci fi....lol

I hope TPTB do decide to make a big budget motion picture and include all the regulars. I think it would be a great sucess.
