The age old question of wether there is life on other planets, if the Government is hiding something from us, etc. Never been abducted but I believe that in all the expanse of the universe yet to discover there must be some other life forms out there!
 
The universe is so big, so there have to be other life forms out there. I can't believe that only one planet (Earth) have life when is so much out there that we can see. :alienooh:

:D In our Galaxy alone there are about a billion stars.
If only 10% of those were Like our sun that would leave 100 million.
If 10% of those had planets going round them that would leave 10 million.
if 10% of those had planets the same distance out as Earth that would leave 1 million
If 10% of those had atmosphere that would leave 100000 planets for life to emerge on.

Makes you wonder don't it.

i also think there r aliens out there because ummm just because. poeple say thats its hard to believe in these aliens from outer space, but i think that its even harder to believe that we are the only life forms in the universe! now i think thats even crazier than believing in aliens, but when will people finally figure that out. hopefully soon, so that we can try doing something about them. like trying to find them out there, and where they come from exactly. it would be very interesting. but it would be just totally sweet if we actually made contact with them one day. it would be like, like so amazing!!!!!!

Has anyone been watching a series on Tv called space? On the last ep they were looking at the possabilities of life and they said we have only sent 'signals' to a tiny tiny portion of the galaxy. It would take 50 years for our signal to get to the farthest planet and it will take another 50 years for them to reply and send one back.

so it'll be a while yet.:D :D :D

I do think there could be life out there apart from us. I'm sure 'they' are as intrigued by us as we are in 'them'.

There's got to be someone else out there. I mean there are millions of billions of galaxys, there's got to be at least one lifeform on one of the planets.

I totally agree that there must be some other life form out there cos it'd be naive and arrogant of anyone to believe that it is impossibe for "aliens" to exist, or that we were the only other intelligent life form anywhere. I'd give up hope now if i thought that were true!

And about government conspiracies etc, everybody is always hiding something, so i think that governments are covering stuff up. I'm especially suspicious of the Russians myself, but also Americans and English - because if any government could hide something as big as aliens etc, these superpowers would be capable of such a huge cover-up.

I agree on the arrogance factor. To think that we are so special in a universe filled with billions of stars? I mean get real. You really think God stopped with us?

And of course the govermenet would cover it up. They don't want people to panic at the proof of life on other planets since they can be relatively sure that we won't find out for a long time.
 
I know aliens usually lead to government conspiracy theories but I'd rather it not get so off topic. I think that those are valid points that make it so we can believe that anything is possible I mean just look at some of the stuff we come up with I think it's more than meets the imagination. I belaive there is a little bit of truth in all scifi even if we don't know it.
 
yeah, most sci-fi and fantasy are based on some small bit of truth somewhere, then our own imagination takes over and we create something more...Mulder and his willingness or maybe need to believe in things that others consider to be nothing more than fairy tales for children is one of his most endearing aspects.
 
Yeah, its said that each ep is based around at least one fact right? He has so much faith in things, its very endearing as you said, he still gets back up when ppl knock him back. Its great to watch.
