Kree everyone!
I'm VERY sorry that I haven't written for ages, but there's a very good reason: I've been in New Caledonia! Okay, I was only there for a week, and that was three weeks ago, but I was *extremely* tired.
Good news on the SG-1 front over there: they have almost all of season two on DVD! (I'm not sure about the season one boxed set, I didn't see it)Aaaannnd... I managed to pick up the soundtracks to the movie and series, which you're all quite welcome to listen to if you're around my area sometime.
By bad news on the weather: For the last four days, we were stuck right next to Cyclone SOSE (Who the heck comes up with these names?!) and therefore had to stay inside most of the time. On the plus side I learnt how to play a lot of card games!
Now... the questions!(Argh! Sorry, but you knew they were coming. Also sorry they're not all about SG-1, but I really have to know.)

1. Any idea when SG-1 is gonna be back on Aussie TV?

2. Did any of you watch Dark Star on SBS a couple of weeks ago? It was damned funny!

3. Do any of you remember the wonderful TV series Now and Again?

4. If I'm going to go to BOBW (sigh, I hear you all say. Why doesn't he shut up about that?) this year, any help given regarding booking, costs, who's going and how, etc... would be greatly appriciated, and would make you my best friend.

Thanks, and remember:
Love your Sci Fi: those "How to Speak Klingon" tapes come in handy when meeting ET...

HEY RAPTOR!!!!!:D
It's great to hear from you. It's always good when you drop by for a chat.

Wow, glad you had a great time in New Caledonia. Do you speak french?

The 3rd DVD, which is the next four episodes of S2 came out last week. It has a cool picture of Thor on the front. Also, the first 3 tapes (6 eps) of S3 were released. So that's been very good news. No news yet on the S1 boxed set. I'm waiting with baited breath for it to come out. I'm guessing that it will be released here possibly july or august. It was only just releaed in america, so it will still be a few months before it's australian release.

Now, I will see if I can answer some of those questions.

1. No idea when SG-1 will return to Aussie TV. JAD e-mailed the network and they said that it won't be back till the non-ratings period (xmas/holiday time :( ). Apparently CH7 haven't recived any more episodes past Watergate, so therefore they have nothing to show.

2. Nup, didn't watch it. I remember you talking about it though. :)

3. I loved Now and Again. What a shame it was axed. It had so much potential. :(

4. Hey, we're always talking about this. So far they have not released any details about who will be appearing at BOBW 13. I expect they will release this in May after BOBW12 is finished. But you can get HEAPS of info about prices, events etc. at their website. GOTO: http://www.bobw.com.au

BTW: Go and visit a this site...

welcome back raptor!
1. im guessing stargate will be back in july (dont hold me to that, but if what i have been told is true then HEY HEY)
2. no i didnt watch them programs
3. nope southern cross showed now and again at 11:30 pm and i couldnt be bothered watching it that late.
4. im definately 100% not going... and like shelbs said the guests havnt been announced.

(heart palpitating)
July, that sounds fantastic! (Don't worry JAD I won't hold you to it.) It would be pretty cool though. The sooner they get rid of Inspector Morse and that stupid Heartbeat show, the better!

thats okay. i hope they give heartbeat the flick as well. in tas at 9:30 we get the x-files and at 10:30 we get law and order, so hopefully stargate will return to the popular 8:30 time-slot.

July sounds good, and 8:30 is a good timeslot
730 is just to early

Canberra always had it on at 2030. At one stage it was even on at 2130.

Hahahahaha :laugh2:
good pun ;)

"Bring it home to me" - that is definetly the worst slogan they have ever had. though i do like the song that goes with it.:)

is that seven's 'the one to watch' song? i havnt watched PRIME for ages.

No, it was "This is where we live". They always had cool ads with all the nice canberra scenery.
so why is it only called PRIME in NSW and ACT? What's the difference?

Well channel seven only broadcast as Channel seven in melbourne, adelaide, sydney, brisbane, perth and regional queensland (the channel is known as seven queensland).
Then regional NSW has an affiliate of channel seven "7 on PRIME" which is owned by Prime Television.
Regional Victoria have "7 on PRIME" which is owned by Prime Television.
Tasmania has "Southern Cross" which is owned by Southern Cross broadcasting.
Western Australia has GWN (which will soon be called "7 on GWN") which is owned by Prime Television.
South Australia has 2 Channel seven affiliates known as WIN SA and Central GTS/BKN
The NT has Seven Darwin and Seven Central which are not owned by channel 7, but they named their station as 7.
hmmm it is the same as Channel 9, they have WIN and NBN affiliates across the country.
