Stargate on The Today Show

Hey guys,
I was watching the Today Show this morning and after Richard Wilkins did his lame movie reviews there was a preview for his segment next week. Anyway, he's doing this story on Vancouver and their TV/Film industry, which is booming. Natuarally I heard the word Vancour and Tv and got REALLY excited. The preview showed clips from The Outer Limits and there was a 5 second "clip" of Stargate. The full story will air next Thursday 10th May. I'm hoping that they will show more of the show than just 5 seconds.
Tune in and see it. I think it's on between about 0730 or 0800 EST.

No it isn't, it's on in the morning. 0700 is AM, 1900 is the evening. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I was raised in a military family so we use 24 hour time. I forget that no one else uses it. Sorry, my bad.

Anyway... HEY !!!! I'm always here, (in spirit anyway). Gatecon is moving along slowly, just had a quiet week, but it really it the clam before the storm... I know come next week, i'm going to be sooooooooo busy.

As you might have heard, Gatecon will be realeasing a line of "OFFICIALLY LICENCED STARGATE SG-1 MERCHENDISE".... am I excited.... YES !!!!!!

And I will be designing some of the products. HOW COOL IS THAT !

Unfortunately, it is only a US/Canada licence, so we can't sell outside of the USA.... Sorry Guys.

But, where there's a will, there's a way.

I had also heard about the Stargate Merchandise but was disappointed to hear that it's only US and Canada. Oh well, that's life I guess.

That is so awesome that you got to help design some of the products.
What kind of merchandise is going to be released? I heard something about a calender?

the bit on the Today show about the film/tv industry in vancouver was on this morning - wednesday 9.5.01.

a short shot of the gate room and a couple of guys in jaffa outfits playing with zats while on the set. not much.

but lots of very nice shots of vancouver. i love that place. my plan is to go back in 2003 so allan had better keep gatecon going at least until then because i'm going to work the trip around gatecon.

it was quite pathetic really, they had a picture of the stargate when they were talking about some crap, and when the jaffa guards came on they were talking about the outer limits!!!

So you guys saw it? I missed it. They said last week that it would be on on thursday, but they changed it and it screened on wednesday.
I was sitting there waiting for it to come on this morning until mum said that it was on yesterday. i was not too happy. glad someone saw it though. Mum did mention that they only talked about the outer limits and not sg. probably because it dosn't screen on their network.

Marty, Cat, was the whole 5 seconds they showed worth it?

ps. I wish they would bring outer limits to australia. it sounds so awesome. some sg actors have done cameos on it too. i think cj, did. plus it's sound stage is just opposite the sg sound stage at bridge studios.
