Maybe this is a stupid question but,

Can a Goa'uld take it's Jaffa as host if no other hosts are around?
 
Nah, there are no stupid questions....

The answer seems to be yes. In one episode, I think '1969', Teal'c says that if a host isn't found for Junior that Junior would take him over when he matures.
