ok, i need your advices guys

could u visit my site and forward some ideas using the e-mail links on my site?

i REALLY need a new font, but im not sure which fonts u guys like (wierd but true), could u send me in the right direction and give me some links to decent fonts, not just font sites

i also need your opinion on sections of the site, if u would like any new sections, just e-mail me and ill try to sort something out.

basically....just tell me what u like, what u hate, what u want, and what u want to kick out

im only asking cos i gunna make a MAJOR update to my site (major as in even the tiniest thing like the font will be changed)

i think as boring as this sounds the common fonts like arial, or times new roman or comic sans serif are good.
they are common but that means fewer people will have trouble with things not being compatable...also they're easy to read, and to someone who would still ike to be able to see when i'm 60 i like easy to read stuff.

I agree with skydiver - after all, people will come back because the content of your site interested them, not the fancy letters. In fact, if the fonts are very unusual, they'll be a distraction.

I'd also suggest making your banner [is that the right term? The section at the top that stays the same, while the visitor scrolls down to see the rest of the text] much smaller. I can only see about 5 lines of scrolling text, after space is taken up by my browser's toolbars plus your banner, which means it takes a LOT of effort to read something as long as this post. No offense, hon, but I felt like I was trying to read a letter through one of those clear plastic windows on the front of the envelope.

Now that you've read the bad news - I liked the "feel" of the site very much - the colors weren't bland, but they didn't get in the way, either - that's a hard balance to achieve! The layout was easy to understand and navigate. A very good "first draft", and I plan to come back later when I've got the energy to do all that scrolling....[sorry, I couldn't resist].

When you make it easier to access your content, I think your site will be above average already, and it's only going to get better.

do u think its as good as comic sans, the only reason i dont use comic sans is cos i thought it was only available to ppl with MS Office, but if u can prove me wrong, ill use comic sans


ill think about making my banner smaller, but with my resolution of 1028x768 the top bar is perfect!! maybe its your resolution, anyway ill probably end up changin it ne way

i like the text and the colors...to me the bright and garish colors just make my eyes hurt, blue, white & yellow are a good combo.

i might be able to help you out with some content...lemme see what i can do before i promise anything

what type of things would u be able to help with sky?
is comic sans one of those universal fonts? does everyone have it on their computers or is it just the people who have MS Office??

i could do some episode summaries, i'm assuming you want the kind that don't give away the whole plot...sort of like a tv guide 'this is what's happening this week, but i'm not going to tell you how it ends' kind.

i've had comic sans on every word program i've had, and i think it's on mac too...i think it's fairly common

and look at the guides for seth and WoO, they're perfect as episode guides, they give away just enuff to get the reader gripped, but it doesnt spoil the viewers viewing pleasure
so yeah, kinda like tv guides only a lot more in depth

I think that your site looks great Nemisis, and I agree with the comments made by the others, I wish had the time to start a website, but I wouldn't know where to start, my bf said he'd help me, hes got a computer site (www.pantherproducts.co.uk if ya interested!)

Hi Nemesis, Cool site. The text/font is fine and the colors don't make my eyes bleed :eek4: . words of warning: I've seen sooo many sites that have overlapping paragraphs. Try not to do that please.
