I'm still pretty new here, so please forgive me if I've posted this in the wrong place.
I've got a young [11 years old] friend with a Mac but no Internet access who loves the series and would *love* to have a screensaver with lots of big exciting pictures in it.
Can anyone recommend one? I've got an IBM-compatible, so I'll have to find someone with a Mac to download it, but so far all the nice helpful websites seem to identify my computer and steer me in an incompatible direction.
Dumb question: can the same screensaver run on both systems, if the downloader has the appropriate computer/disks? In other words, if I find a good screensaver for my buddy, can I just give my Mac friend the addy and ask him to go fetch? If the answer is, "sometimes", how can I tell?
And if anyone is still reading this, my buddy's mom is also a fan [they watch it together, awwwww... while Dad and Sis look pained and do other things] and she has an IBM-compatible at work, and would love to have a "discreet" Stargate screensaver - small images, so they can't be identified by someone looking in from the hallway, and no "I LOVE TEAL'C" [or whoever] shots. I've already given her one from www.tucows.com.
Cyber-illiterately yours, and thanks in advance,
RP
